Cheese

The PDO brand (Protected Name of Origin) is given by European Union to agriculture and food products whose raw materials have particular features, whose production process is carried out in defined geographic areas, using a process that accomplishes to stated production standards. These characteristics are due exclusively to the geographic environment where the PDO product is made, with its natural and human factors. This is true also for Italian PDO Cheeses. The most part of them have also a very ancient tradition and, in many cases, their first production dates back to some centuries ago. Italian PDO Cheeses are a precious piece of a healthy diet and of a good life style.
