GORGONZOLA PDO: a “magic” cheese

According with the legend, it was created for the first time in Gorgonzola, a small town, not far from Milan. It’s a blu-green cheese, that contains dark coloured veins produced by selected bacteria.

It’s a blu-green cheese, that contains dark coloured veins produced by selected bacteria. The unique, pervasive and charming taste makes it “magic” to savour, eaten by itself as well as an essential ingredient for dishes of any kind.                                                   

The ´sweet´ variety is creamy, soft and tasty and it’s perfect with jam.                                                                              

The piquant variety , seasoned for 2/3 months, has a compact texture and a spicy taste.
